How to Locate Unread Emails in Outlook?
Method 1 – Using the Read/Unread Tabs
Step 1 – Open the Microsoft Outlook app. It should show the Home tab by default. If not, make sure to click on the Home tab.

Step 2 – On this screen, you will view all of your emails, both read and unread. If you see it, you’ll notice a “Unread” option just above the emails area that allows you to see only unread emails. You only have to click once on it. All unread emails will be displayed in front of you.
Note: You may see other options displayed for you using this method. If You see two buttons that say Focused/Other instead of All/Unread it means Outlook is using the Show Focused Inbox Option. To activate/deactivate it do the following:

In previous versions of Outlook, the search folder option could be found at the top bar. Today we will show how to create a search folder for the Outlook desktop app in 2024.
Step 1 -Open Outlook. Click the Home tab at the top
Step 2 – In the left sidebar, scroll down until you see the option Search Folders. Click on it.
Step 3 – The option New Search Folder will display on the screen. Click on it.
Step 4 – A pop-up message will display on the screen. You will see a drop-down menu. In the options, click on Unread mail.
Step 5 – At the bottom, you will see the option: Search mail in. Make sure to select the correct email account in this option. Once all the options are set, click ok.
